Undoubtedly the best professor in the digital media department at SUNY New Paltz. He is easy-going and keeps the class practical and useful. He gives the best constructive criticism and he’s great to get along with. He’s always there to help students too. My favorite professor and class.

Brett Barry spoke clearly and paused at the right time to indicate section breaks. Amazingly, he pronounced the place names correctly, and as far as I know, the scientific names too. It was easy to imagine it was John Muir reading his journal out loud.

This class was so much fun! Not only did Professor Brett Barry foster a productive environment but I can honestly say, this was one of the very few classes I learned a lot in, and made work that I could be proud of. The hands on experience was amazing but I never felt that I couldn’t ask for help when needed. Overall, an amazing class. 10/10!

[Brett] was amusing and gave character to the dialog! It made me laugh out loud, so my family kept asking me what was happening. Best to listen to this book when you are by yourself!

Thanks so much for such a great workshop. For somebody who is a newbie to the voice over world, I found it a really good balance of marketing and technical support.

Hands down the best professor I’ve ever had, he has earned my respect and then some. I learned more in this class than I learned in my other 4 this semester, combined.

Barry shines as the voice of Beston, a naturalist. Barry’s narration captures the poetry of Beston’s lyrical passages, in which he expresses views on wildlife and conservation that are decades ahead of their time.

Narrator Brett Barry is outstanding; he skillfully captures the language of an earlier America as his poetic delivery matches the beautiful descriptions.

I wish I could have listened to it all at once as I really had to tear myself away from it to get anything else done.

Even when word combinations are clumsy, Brett Barry makes everything sound smooth and understandable. He handles the authors’ attempts at humor with grace and sounds perfectly in tune with the program’s intentions.
