Barry shines as the voice of Beston, a naturalist. Barry’s narration captures the poetry of Beston’s lyrical passages, in which he expresses views on wildlife and conservation that are decades ahead of their time.

This is the second class I’ve taken with Brett Barry and I’m taking a third one next semester with him because he’s an incredible teacher.

Barry’s voice is warm and inviting. His smooth narration allows you to see the beach, smell the salt air and hear the wind whipping through the sand and the waves crashing against the shore… you can actually smell the coffee brewing on the stove in the tiny kitchen.

Brett Barry’s crisp, well-paced reading free of theatrics allows the author’s words to resonate. Listeners will get the sense of walking alongside Thoreau as he leads them—half authoritative teacher, half marveling student—on a tour of the evocative landscape.

Thanks so much for such a great workshop. For somebody who is a newbie to the voice over world, I found it a really good balance of marketing and technical support.

Undoubtedly the best professor in the digital media department at SUNY New Paltz. He is easy-going and keeps the class practical and useful. He gives the best constructive criticism and he’s great to get along with. He’s always there to help students too. My favorite professor and class.

If you want an audiobook, go to nobody else. The final product was perfect, even above what I asked for.

Listening to this audiobook took me to a different world from my day to day life in Shanghai. The author’s passion and enthusiasm for the natural world comes through in his detailed descriptions of his surrounds and the reader puts in a solid performance.

I enjoyed this class a lot and learned valuable things that I will take with me in my future classes and jobs. We had a lot of time to get our projects done which was really helpful to make sure we produce some of our best work.
